Holder Rewards (V3)

Hold a V3 coin, earn a share of its trading fees, and claim it whenever you like.

On a V3 coin the creator can share part of their trading-fee earnings with everyone who holds the coin. These are Holder Rewards, paid in the coin's pair asset: ETH for most coins, TSLA for a coin paired with TSLA.

The coin page shows the coin's Holder Rewards percentage. Off means this coin does not share fees with holders. The percentage can only ever go up.

How you earn#

Hold the coin in your own wallet. There is nothing to sign up for or stake.
Each time the coin's fees are distributed, the holders' part is shared among all holders in proportion to how many tokens they hold at that moment.
The longer you hold through distributions, the more you collect. Rewards are earned over time, distribution by distribution.
Buying later earns from that point on. Earlier distributions belonged to whoever held then.
Selling or sending your tokens stops them earning. Anything you already earned stays yours and claimable.

Tokens sitting in the coin's pool, at the burn address and in a few similar places do not earn. Rewards go to real holders.

A simple example#

A coin has Holder Rewards at 50%, and you hold 2% of the tokens that earn.

One day the coin trades 10 ETH.
The 1% fee is 0.1 ETH. The pool keeps its protocol share (one sixth), so about 0.0833 ETH is collected, and the creator side is about 0.0583 ETH.
Holders receive about 0.0292 ETH in total.
Your 2% is about 0.00058 ETH, ready to claim.

If you had bought only halfway through the day, you would earn only from the distributions after you bought.

Claimable vs Held for later#

Claimable: rewards that are yours now. Claim them at any time; they do not expire.
Held for later: rewards that are waiting to be shared, for example rewards that arrived while nobody held the coin yet, or rewards that would have gone to the pool. They are released gradually, alongside each new distribution of trading fees, to whoever holds the coin at that time. The coin page shows how much is held for later.

Checking your rewards#

Open the coin page with your wallet connected. Your Rewards shows what you can claim right now.

Claiming#

On the coin page, find Your Rewards.
Press Claim Holder Rewards and confirm in your wallet. The rewards (ETH, or TSLA on a coin paired with TSLA) arrive in the same wallet.
To send it somewhere else, use Claim to another address.

Good to know#

Distributions happen regularly while the coin trades. Anyone can trigger one at any time with Distribute now on the coin page.
Anyone can add to a coin's Holder Rewards, in its pair asset, with Add to Holder Rewards. Those additions are shown separately as bonus rewards.
On sells, the holders' part of the fee is paid in the coin's own tokens, and that part is burned, permanently removing those tokens from circulation.
V2 coins do not have Holder Rewards.
