Trading and pricing
How price is determined and what a trade actually does.
Every coin trades in an ordinary Uniswap V3 pool from the moment it launches. There is no separate Gekko pricing curve, no internal order book, and no phase the coin has to graduate out of before it is really tradeable.
Price
Price comes from the pool's slot0.sqrtPriceX96, squared and inverted
depending on which side of the pair the token sorts to. Market cap is that price
multiplied by the fixed billion supply.
Token ordering is decided by address, so whether the token is token0 or
token1 is effectively random per coin. Reading the price without accounting
for it produces a number that looks plausible and is the reciprocal of the truth.
Trades
Buys and sells go through the Uniswap router from your own wallet. Gekko's interface quotes by simulating the swap against the live pool, then submits with a slippage floor. Nothing about a trade is custodial or routed through Gekko.
Fees on a trade
Uniswap's 1% fee tier applies. That 1% does not go to Uniswap; it accrues to the liquidity position, which the factory owns, and is split when anyone collects it. See Fees and burns.
