V3 is GEKKO's new launch system and the default for new launches. V2 remains
available, and every V2 coin keeps trading and earning exactly as it always has.
What both share#
- A fixed supply of 1,000,000,000 tokens and liquidity locked forever.
- A 1% trading fee. The pool keeps its protocol share (currently one sixth) and the rest is
split 70% creator side, 10% agent side, 20% GEKKO.
- An optional first buy by the creator inside the launch transaction.
- An AI character for the coin.
- The same homepage, coin pages and trading.
What V3 adds#
- Holder Rewards: the creator can share part of the creator fee with holders, paid in
the coin's pair asset (ETH, or TSLA), and can raise it later but never lower it.
- A choice of pair asset: ETH, or TSLA. See Coins paired with TSLA.
- Holder Reward Commitment: optional, permanent future increases of the holder share.
- Fee Recipient Wallet: fees can go to a wallet other than the creator's, with an
acceptance step.
- A capped creator first buy: at most 20% of supply, with any extra returned.
- Claimable credits: creator earnings are credited and claimed from your profile.
- Every value checked before signing: the launch is simulated against the chain first.
What V2 offers#
- The original launch form, with a description, website and social links, and an optional
"by gekko" name suffix.
- The creator receives the whole 70% and claims it from the coin page.
- No Holder Rewards.
How to tell them apart#
- On coin cards: a small V3 or V2 tag next to the name (on phones it sits on the
image). Coins listed from other launchpads carry the V2 tag.
- On the coin page: the version label next to the name, and V3 coins show the Trading
Fees and Holder Rewards sections.
- When launching: the version switch at the top of the launch page.
